How it's calculated

Hourly pay is the yearly amount ÷ (hours a week × paid weeks a year). With 40 hours and 52 weeks that is ÷ 2,080. Weekly and daily pay are for a week or day worked.
Paychecks follow the calendar: monthly pay is the yearly amount ÷ 12, twice-a-month pay ÷ 24 and every-two-weeks pay ÷ 26, the pay periods the IRS uses.
Every amount is gross pay, before tax and deductions, worked out from the exact yearly amount and rounded to the cent once.
